1. Not too fresh (Original publisher, Microprose weasel out of business few years ago), but maybe this is the best boardgame adaptation of all time. I love original boardgame, and Risk II can renew this legendary game. The new Same-time mode is very unique and very funny. And the music! Tchaikovsky's classic is maybe the best background music, if you want to dominate whole world. If i want to say only one word from this game, then i say: PERFECT.

2. Who doesn't know the old board-game Risk? The most well known world domination game finally made it into the Reflexive Arcade stable. Not a moment to soon as my original RISK II was getting worn off. Play it alone or with some friends over multiplayer, the timeless concept combined with excellent graphics and classical music from Pyotr Tchaikovsky make for an ideal atmosphere. This game sure is worth playing on a lazy evening with some friends over a LAN connection or when you have a few hours to blow. Because this game will capture your attention and leave you dangling for more, it's an overall top score of 5/5 for me.

3. This is a nearly perfect rendition of the classic Risk game. Risk veterans will notice that it's very well designed and has tons of options that you can tweak to help you get the best Risk experience, just like the board game. The battles flow smoothly, which makes the game a breeze to play. You can change the speed of the dice rolls, how the map is displayed, in game events, as well as various rules before you start the game. There is tons of replay value here. Players new to Risk may find this game a challenge until they learn a strategy that works for them. After that, the game will be too easy to beat when playing against the computer A.I..The Reflexive version, minus a few videos and audio from the tutorial, is identical to the CD-ROM version. I'm not exactly sure why almost every game here is $20. Some are definitely worth it, others should really be no more than $5, especially considering the similar and often superior games they must compete with. Obviously Risk isn't one of them and is unique among the selection here at Reflexive. One pro of this version is that you don't need the CD in the drive all the time to play it. One major con I noticed is that you can't save. Maybe this is a limitation of the trial, I don't know, but I was able to get the save function to work by taking a save file from my original version and copying it to the Reflexive version's directory and then loading it. After that, I could save games....Strange!

4. If you like games with a lot of action... don't even bother with this game. It was SO boring start to finish. I never got into it. What is sad is that I love the actual Risk board game. This game however... was just not the same.

5. Hmm..compared to the latest games, Risk II graphics will lose out. BUT the game play isn't that bad. More importantly the game still represent the old risk board game just that they have enhanced the old version with the "same time" mode. Pros: Learning Curve around 45-60 mins, depending if u have ever played before the game risk. If so u should be able to play it even if it is your first time. The same time mode is something NEW to me. Heh.. i find it much more interesting than the classic mode. User friendly. Tutorial wise, i'm not that sure because i have played before the board game risk. If you have not played before the classic board game risk, well try to play the demo. And yea you have 1 hour only!Cons: From my point of view, Combat system is abit off the track. You will get boring after seeing soldiers shooting each other (No blood, No violence). And it is abit time cosuming compared to playing the real board game since you are playing with the AI. AI has propably only one tactic? Not sure..but the game risk has LOTS of tactic and stradegies. Conclusion: Well if you are getting this game make sure you are playing "multiplayer mode". If not it will be quite a waste playing with the AI. Overall not bad.
