Comments to "Fish Tycoon"

1. This game is very fun, mostly because of the Real-Time feature that enables your fish to act like real fish. The graphics aren't to good; I've seen same types of games with realistic graphics. The sound quality could have been better. The gameplay is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's easy to play, realistic (fish get sick and even die if you don't cure them) and, I have to admit, this is the first game that has a true Real-Time feature. It's a vey good game for those that don't have to much time to play.I recommend you buy this game because it's not worth playing only 1 hour! I consider this game an original in it's genre.

2. Experimenting with different breeds to find new ones, curing sick fish, improving their way of life... wonderful!one tip: you can make ALL your fish pregnant, they don't appear to have genders. even those that have impregnated other fish can still be pregnant themselves :)

3. At first its fun the first day but then it gets boring you have to keep watching your fish or they die. Its really annoying that it goes so slow and you have to keep watching...so this game gets boring really fast.. if you like games like this I recommend you Insaniquarium I own it and I like that one very much.

4. The game is pretty good. It could be tough for the first few days but it is a strategy game, so if you can manage it then this game is for you.It is very advantageous having it in real time--but you must provide food on a real time basis --otherwise you can stop the time in options menu==siva==

5. it's really very boring.... it's make me sleep

6. I found this game to be thoroughly addictive. If you like a challenge, this one's for you.

7. I can't figure out how to make more money. There is also a hint in the game that there is more than one way to win the game, but I can't figure it out. Help!!!!!! I really enjoy the game, but it is hard to figure things out.

8. firstly thanks to a good transaction to purchasing this game it was my first time buying online and i was not sure but it went really well no dramas.the game itself is seriously addictive, well designed but basic, not as easy as people might think, very challenging and hard at the start but the real time feature is brilliant in the sense if you do it right and are carefull to check it frequently your tanks will thrive wilst your not even home or asleep.(make sur if you have rare fish set it to half time in the realtime options wilst leaving overnight or for a long time)but this game is cheap ,addictive ,and overall a great game.

9. Graphics are not fantastic, not good even, but still the game is addictive. Improved graphics and sounds like the humming of the aeration and more items such as biowheels or drip filters would be a welcome addition.

10. this is a very very cool game, i love it

11. This game is really, really cool. This is way cheaper than having real fish, and about 100 times more fun! I love feeding and breeding these fish, and getting moolah to buy stuff to help my fish grow. My husband, who usually only likes games like Chess, loved this game! I even got my sister hooked on this game, and we talk about how our fish are doing. It is a fun game to relax with and has a great screensaver mode. If you are playing the game, or just using the screensaver, you will get your money's worth. I highly recommend the paid version because you get more stuff to buy and a larger variety of options. HERE'S A TIP: Time can be manipulated to become a great asset to your fish.

12. Challanging, fun, addictive, real time, relaxing.I really enjoy this type of fish game. It's just so soothing to play =) I think it would be awsome if this game got a wee upgrade in variaty and graphics.Terrable graphics, not enuff different fish parts, undesirable tank layouts, limited decorations,no extra info on fish combos.

13. I was like the couple of "bored" players with this game as well, until I changed the speed. I hated the wait and just wanted to play. I found it a lot more fun after that. It took me a while to find all the special breeds, but it was interesting to see the outcomes of the new fish. The kids (6 & 14) enjoyed this game, and still do.*TIP...find a breed that sells for a good amount of $$ and just keep breeding the same fish until you have enough to buy what you want. I kept breeding the Goldbulb and selling it for $60.

14. I like sound magic fish and Graphics

15. Ehh, I didn't much like this game. Its a real time game, and just like my real fish you have to get on every so often and feed them. Its not the most exciting to me. Don't get me wrong, I love tycoon games.. but not this one. Graphics though are awesome, sound is alright too. But I just don't feel the need to play this. I'd probably give it a 2.3/5 overall!

16. I thought this game was alright. Unfortunatly it's VERY addictive as well when i started to dive fully into the game i found that it was more challenging than i thought at first and i didn't rest until i completed the game which is a lot harder than you might think, i recommend buying this game!

17. I am VERY fond of fish and at first I found this game interesting, but:1) The game became so boring - because you have to wait for so long.. And of cause the simplified emulator of the real fish life cannot give you the whole idea of everything.2) The shop graphics is disgusting3) I think it would be more interesting to add more fish AND with better graphics AND paying attention to how the fins are attached to the fish.4) The genetic puzzle "crashes" completely when the magic Grouper begins to influence other fish. But as a fan of marine life I liked this game

DatePosted by akari on May 09, 2006 at 07:15 AM

18. The fish are rather beautiful, though not extremely realistic; the strategy is fun to work out. The gameplay is nicely done, true real time with options for how fast time should be passing "now". Statistics is neat - shows you how your various totals compare with those of others. And hey, I found all 7 magic fish. It can be done.

19. Fish Tycoon is one of the best tycoon game I have ever played. It's simply great. The graphics, sound and gameplay are all magnificent. Overall it's a must for all tycoon gamers.

20. The gameplay is nearly awesome, It has this cool feature which lets you r fish grow even when the game is off.It sometimes can be bad because you will forget about it and when you come back you find all the fish dead. The sound is not that good. The fish tank graphics is good but not the store(Its in 2d!!).Good game for all you fish maniacks out there.

21. Fantastic, addicting, strategy game especially for anyone who raises tropical fish. Would like to see another version.

22. These game is GREAT game.Ilove the graphics, sound, overall It's SUPER FANTASTIC.whith the real time It's even better

23. The concept of being able to grow breed and sell fish is great and I like the screensaver mode too. About the graphics. If Reflexive Entertainment Inc. were to make a sequel, I would like the graphics to look more realistic. Half of the fun of having pet fish is to be able to watch them. the poor graphics takes that fun away from the experance.Over all, it's a so-so game.(Editor's Note: While we appreciate the comments, I want to mention that Reflexive is not the developer of Fish Tycoon. Fish Tycoon was developed by a game studio called "Last Day of Work" and was originally developed for the Pocket PC...which is probably why the graphics might look a bit...different than what you are used to.)

24. I liked this game for the real-time play but had it on top speed all the time. Graphics could have been way better. If you find the yellow magic fish it sells for $450 and I was up to 45,000 in 1 day of playing!! This takes all of the fun out of it but it worked. I found all the fish right away and the game play just stops after that. Wouldn't recommend it!!

25. Fish Tycoon is great! The gameplay is unique - I've never seen a game quite like it. It runs in realtime (even when your computer is off), and it can take several hours for a fish to grow up. You don't play the game nonstop, but rather check on it periodically like it's a real fish tank. The graphics are great and the fish are beautiful, yet it will still run on a computer with limited resources. It takes a while to get into the game, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be hooked!Hint: If you DO want to play the game nonstop, you can. Since it bases the passage of time on your computer's clock, you can change the time to jump forward quickly. You can't go backwards, though, so be sure your fish are healthy and fed!

26. This is a really boring and complicated game. I was eager to have it as I read a lot of compliments on this game and I am disappointed...I didn't like Fish Tycoon at all! Graphics is average and gameplay isn't interesting. I like real-time play games, particularly "Virtual Villagers" but not this one!

DatePosted by juliasun on September 05, 2006 at 07:17 AM

27. while i was browsing the web for some light yet a very fun game i stumbled to this site, and downloaded some games for me to try out.. i tried diner dash 2, lemonade tycoon, virtual villager and then finally the fish tycoon..I can say im an addict to this game, coz i cant stop my self from thinking of my new strategies to make money while in school.what make this game great is the idea that you are so unsure of what might happen next, your fish might be dead, or maybe they are hungry, or maybe you discovered new expensive breed. in other words it gives you a reason to check your fish. i dont have an aquarium at home but fish tycoon really makes me feel i have one... KUDOS to the maker of this game and Reflexive.com for bringing it to our desktop.. i strongly suggest this game.

28. wouldn't be this game. If you love fish and think this game will be just for you, I'd recommend Big Kahuna Reef 2.

29. I have yet to purchase this game and am planning to do so soon... I love this game.. it is great for kids and adults... the girls love watching the babies grow to whatthey call toddlers, teens and then into adults.. they call them all by their species names and can identify even the smallest of babies....

DatePosted by froggzzz on September 16, 2006 at 11:06 AM

30. First, don't buy this game if you aren't into games that drag on forever with nothing overly special happening. This isn't an action or adventure game and you really shouldn't hope for more than that.Still, if you're calm and patient and need a good fish screensaver with the fish you've raised being featured as the scaly stars, then this is perhaps the game for you.You start the game off with a handful of fish that you have to raise and breed together to create a successful pet fish store and find the 7 magical fish of Isola. The fish grow and develop and can breed with eachother. The fish are unisex so you don't have to worry about whether you're trying to breed two boys or two girls together. As far as the graphics go, they're nicely done with lots of variety in the fish but the downfall comes to the customers who look like they didn't get the same amount of effort as the fish they purchase did.The sounds aren't as great as they could be with the music sometimes being inaudible and the only audio settings be "Enable/Disable" sound. Still, the sounds seem to fit alright with the game and it doesn't act as a distraction from the purpose of the game. The gameplay is nice, at least in my tastes, as you have to -wait- for your fish to grow up and breed. The fish need to be fed at least once every day and the quality of their environment needs to be upgraded if you want rarer, more fragile fish. All in all, this is a very enjoyable game so long as you aren't looking for fast-paced action or deep, involving stories and the like.

31. I just can't stop playing this game. I'm printing which fish I bred and what the results are.

DatePosted by 1antique on September 28, 2006 at 04:51 AM

32. This is another of those slow games that you need to walk away from in the beginning and come back when the fish have grown. The fish are very beautiful and it is exciting to see what new breeds are created!

DatePosted by Emskii on October 01, 2006 at 10:51 AM

33. This games is very fun to play. Breeding and watching your fish grow up to see what different fish you can find. Although completing the game, by finding the seven magical fish, really isn't that spectacular. The fact that you can use your fish tank as a screensaver is a great idea for this game. I give it two thumbs up for the real-time playing that contiunes when you are not actually playing.

34. Hmmmmmm.....I can say very GOOD almost 100 species I discovered. I have maximum level environment, all the ornaments...this game is super in full version. Yeah super, it not cost too much...OK i have all the 3 aquariums and i have 3000 money and .......whoever plays it, they will see.

35. Very well made game, I love the idea of using it as a screen saver

36. I really like the idea of this game. I always wanted to own a fish tank, but it's expensive and I don't have enough time for it now. Fish tycoon gave me the opportunity to care for fish. I love crossing species and being suprised which fish come out. It's a nice screensaver, too.I'd recommend it.Greetings from an Austrian Fish fan!
