1. I have to say, I really really enjoyed this game. The core mechanic is excellent and the power ups and level progression are just right. Some of the weapons are so satisfying that I had to play levels over and over just to see the effects again. The guys at work played the survival mode for days, but I got into the normal levels way more.I really can't say enough about this game. The concept is very simple but the execution is first rate.If you are any kind of an arcade gamer, you must try this game.

3. Very good game. It may not look like much, but it's highly addictive and a lot of fun. Sometimes I found it a bit difficult, but eventually I completed all levels. I was particularly fond of the Gauss gun, the shotgun, and that electic gun that arcs from monster to monster zapping multiple critters at once. The music is also first rate, and was even improved upon with the add-on pack. The only complaint that I have about the game is that it just doesn't have enough levels. There are quite a few, but I'd like to see even more. Wish they'd release updates.

4. In the demo opening, you can choose to: select the manual, parental controls, system preferences, a link to the Crimsonland website, or play the game. This is all done before the game loads. The music is great! There are additional music packs available at the website. The modes for play include: Quest, Survival, Rush and Tutorial. A couple years back I got the demo and started out on tutorial. I actually recommend going to "Quest" mode your first time out, because, it is much more fun. Nothing teaches you a lesson better than getting killed. Read the instructions in the manual. When you decide to get the game, go through the full tutorial. Useful tips will be needed in the full game version. This program can actually be handled on older PC systems. The gameshots are an overhead view. The action occurs in an open field. Though there are big blood splats from dead aliens, there aren't any closeups and no gory details. It is Rated M for mature audiences. I would say that it is mild violence, with non-human targets of an alien imminent threat. Get with the program and save the planet. Like most or all of Reflexive Entertainment game software publications, Crimsonland (designed and developed by "10 Ton"), has a large community following. Tips can be found in game forum pages. For someone who has only been online for 5 month's I know an awful lot about Reflexive games. This is because for the past 6-10 years. Other game reviews, in magazines and elsewhere seem to use these games as the comparison to rate new games. Crimsonland is one of the games that makes it into serious gamers permanent libraries. The game may seem simple on the front end, if, it is your first time playing. It is known to be one of the more addictive games around. Demo review of Crimsonland by debraford123

6. Hm.... What here to say? This is really best action game.It is much better then Alien Shooter! No i don't want to say that Alien Shooter is bad game! Alien Shooter is great game! But Alien Shooter ends very quickly, Crimsonland- never. Why? Because Alien Shooter has very bad survival mode (1 map after all maps in the game?. But you must play survival in Crimsonland only when you unlock all weapons and perks!(including 1 after hardcore quest mode). Now about graph... You tell me that it is not very good and not 3d? And i say you that i don't need 3d graph in this game! It's graph, sound and gameplay is perfectly balanced and there is no need to change something. If you will it won't be Crimsonland at all! Ok it was my opinion and thanks you for reading it!

9. Crimsonland is one of those timeless classics that arcade gamers can always relate to one another with. The gameplay: simple and beautifully executed, you are a lone soldier on empty terrain fending off hordes of monsters. As you kill, you gain "perks", giving you abilities such as regeneration or faster reloading. Weapons are also plentiful, each one having a creative twist on your standard arsenal. My personal favourites were anything Ion, and the Plasma Minigun. There are 60 quest mode levels, and then the infamous survival mode, as well as Rush. What I found really fun was the Type'o'Kill mode you unlock after finishing quest mode. You can't move or shoot by yourself, instead monsters will come at you with words above their heads, and you have to type the words as fast as you can in order to kill them. Top notch creativity!Music and sound are very well done in this game, a quiet smooth beat accompanied by massive ammounts of gunfire. The graphics serve their purpose, you won't be looking at anything long enough to wonder "oh look at the lovely detail on that spider".Crimsonland serves up everything one needs in an action game, as well as providing inspiration for many other games found here on the Reflexive site. Two thumbs up!
